What is the coldest setting on my undersink water filter?


The number on your temperature dial indicates power level. So 7 is the coolest setting.

How often should I replace my filter?

That depends on your usage but we recommend a new filter at least every 6 months or 6,000 litres.

Do I need to buy special filters for my undersink water system?

Yes. You should always use genuine Alpine filters for your water system.

Kwikwash

The red light is flashing and the tap is not working?

Probably the ‘Run away shut off’ feature that cuts off water after 40 seconds. Normal service resumes after 6 seconds if no hand is detected. Sometimes objects in the sink confuse the sensor tap. Clear the sink and turn the unit off and on to resume normal operation.  

The red light is on all the time?

Hot water is over safe temperature and the unit has shut off. After 10 minutes, Kwikwas will attempt automatic reset. To manually reset, turn the unit off and wait for 1 minute before switching back on. If error is not resolved turn off and wait 30 minutes for hot water to cool down.

The red light is flashing twice every few seconds and water doesn’t flow?


An internal leak has been detected, probably from over boiling or over filling. Turn off the power at the GPO. Remove the front cover and dry the leak sensor PCB. Press the reset switch mounted to the copper vent pipe.

The yellow light is always on and the water won’t stop?

The unit is in run mode because an object has been placed under the sensor tap. Remove all items from the sink.

The tap works and light is green, then yellow but water is cold?

The boiling water element has failed or thermal reset switch activated. In either case, you should call a technician.

Quadra

Do you have a drain tray? We’d like to install Quadra in the boardroom but there’s no sink?

Yes. Billi Font is available for this purpose in a finish to match your filtered water dispenser.

How do I enable safety mode for the boiling water on my Quadra?

Push the SELECT button, then arrow down to OPTIONS. Push the SELECT button and set Safety Switch to ON. Press the grey button on the back of the tap to allow for a short boiling water flow.

Why is the red light flashing on my Quadra filter tap?

The undersink unit is in safety mode or water is not at boiling temperature.

How do I know when to change the undersink water filter?

The orange light will flash continually when your water filter needs changing.

How can I tell if my Quadra unit is on or off?

If the filter tap lights are illuminated, your Quadra water system is on.

Why do the dispenser lights flash?

Red indicates boiling water temperature not reached. Blue indicates chilled water temperature not reached. These can occur in heavy use situations. Orange indicates replace water filter.

Quadra Plus


A hot water service under our sink left no room. Will a Quadra Plus undersink water system and filter tap fit?

You will save space with Quadra Plus, because it comes with a sink mixer tap and supplies its own hot water. So you won’t need a separate hot water service that’s inefficient and expensive to run.

My dispenser blue light is on but the water system is not chilling?

The undersink chilling unit may need a minor service. Change filters before calling a technician.

Why are both the red and blue lights on my Billi filter tap are off?

There is no power to the undersink water system. Check the unit status by holding down the power button until the display shows ON. An electrical fuse may also have blown.

How do I enable Safety Mode on my Sahara Plus?


Turn your water filter system on and wait for normal operation. With Hot and Cold levers depressed together, press and hold the safety switch for 3 seconds until display glows yellow. Release levers, switch and check tap light display for enabled features.  

How do I check enabled safety features on my Sahara Plus?

The Hot (red light) indicates which level of child safety has been enabled. Off indicates hot tap is disabled, boiler is off. Blinking indicates child safety lock enabled. On indicates no safety lock.

Does my Ultra hot water system have an electrical safety cut off?


Definitely.

The on wall unit I purchased does not have a filter. Why?

Ultra on wall boiling water units do not require a filter to run. You can purchase a filter as optional if you wish.
